US World Class Taekwondo Bethany lined up a delegation of eight athletes to compete in Sport Poomsae and Olympic Taekwondo Sparring for the 2015 Oregon State National Qualifier. Headed by Mr. Adrian C., our Head Coach / Director of High Performance we wrapped up the day bringing home three bronze medals, three silver and two gold. Now looking forward to the next competition A tournament with over 500 registered competitors dreaming for a spot to compete at the USA Nationals in Austin, Texas. Any Gold, Silver and Bronze medal guarantees participation at the biggest event of the year. The Nationals. Today's registration process was smooth and Report Times matched the initial schedule. A very long Sunday. Watching these athletes compete is intense. You feel the pressure they are under, you clench your fists and wish for a good score. Your heart revs up its beats. The adrenaline rush. Looking back at 2014 and drawing a line now, we can definitely see improvement. We are working with a new generation and building a new team, one that is still new to the competition scene. Life happens - Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. -Being there- itself..it's a win. We have experienced both moments today. But we are committed and we'll never give up.
US World Class Taekwondo Bethany Martial Arts Academy provides opportunities for selected students looking to take their training regimen to the next level. It does require commitment as to, in order to achieve a world class athlete status, one martial artist has to put in a lot of hours of specific training and most importantly, have their full family support on this endeavor. If you would like to join our competition team ask your instructor.
